Assist. Prof. Dr. Burak Erkut from Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, contributed to the Liberty Academy, organized in hybrid form by the Association for Liberal Thinking in Ankara between February 9 and 10, 2022. Assist. Prof. Dr. Erkut gave a seminar on the topic “innovation and entrepreneurship” to undergraduate and postgraduate students coming from 11 different universities. In his seminar, Assist. Prof. Dr. Erkut talked about enterprise skills which can contribute to essential behaviors fundamental to entrepreneurship, as well as the Austrian School of Economic Thought, which builds the theoretical foundation of innovation and entrepreneurship with respect to the knowledge-competition nexus. Assist. Prof. Dr. Erkut also mentioned that practice is a necessity to acquire entrepreneurial skills. He also explained how policies favoring entrepreneurship should be formulated. Liberty Academy lasted two days and included eight different seminars on liberalism and the free market economy.
