Please note that all the passengers travelling to TRNC have been categorized according to the countries that they travel from. The latest decision of TRNC Ministry of Health categorizes the countries as below:
1-) Passengers entering TRNC from a Category A country through Turkey will be subject to Category B rules.
2-) Passengers entering TRNC from a Category B country will be able to pass the passport control after showing the negative PCR test result that has been performed 3-5 days prior to their trip. A second PCR test will be done at the airport in TRNC. Until they get the second PCR result back, all the passengers are supposed to stay at their hotels (or home) and self-quarantine themselves. If a passanger entering TRNC has a negative PCR test result that has been performed within 2 days before their trip, they will be put in quarantine in specified centers (by TRNC Ministry of Health) and on their third day of quarantine another PCR test will be done. All of the expanses regarding the quarantine stay and PCR tests will be covered by the travellers.
3-) People that will travel to Turkey and then come back to TRNC for 5-days or shorter period of time will be allowed to enter TRNC without any other PCR tests done, providing their previous negative PCR test result. But between the fifth and seventh day of their arrival to TRNC, they will have to g oto Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital or Famagusta State Hospital to give new PCR samples. People who will leave TRNC will get a PCR test done before their travel, if they cannot present a valid and negative PCR test result while travelling back to TRNC (from Turkey), a PCR test will be performed in the airport upon their arrival to TRNC. However, they will be put in quarantine centers specified by the Ministry of Health for 3-days and, on day 3 another PCR test will be performed. All of the expanses regarding the quarantine stay and PCR tests will be covered by the travellers.
4-) People who are travelling from aboard to TRNC through Turkey will be subject to the category of the last country they visited, in case they stay in Turkey for 14 days before entering TRNC. If they stay in Turkey less than 14 days, they will be subject to the category of the country that they originally started their journey.
5-) Passengers entering TRNC from a Category C country will be able to pass the passport control after showing the valid and negative PCR test result that has been performed 3-5 days prior to their trip. A second PCR test will be performed for such passengers and they will be put in quarantine for 14 days, in a center specified by TRNC Ministry of Health. A third PCR test will be performed at the end of their 14th day of quarantine.
6-) As of July 16, people travelling to TRNC from UK will be able to enter TRNC by providing a valid and negative PCR test result, performed within the last 3-5 days before their trip. A second PCR test will be done upon their arrival to TRNC and they will be put in 7-day quarantine. At the end of the quarantine period, the third PCR test will be performed before they leave the quarantine center. Students who are TRNC citizens and TRNC citizend that reside in TRNC will be exempted from quarantine fees. People travelling from England who are not TRNC citizen students or TRNC citizens that reside in TRNC will cover their test and quarantine expenses.
